The Pillar of the Republic:
A Case for the SAVE Act
Friends, we are told today that asking for a secure election is a radical act. We are told that ensuring that only citizens of this nation decide the future of this nation is a "threat to democracy." But I ask you: what could be more fundamental to a self-governing people than the certainty that their vote is protected, verified, and counted in a system beyond reproach?
Cutting Through the "Jim Crow" Rhetoric
Recently, we’ve heard the highest-ranking Democrats in the Senate (Schumer, Jeffries) label the SAVE Act as "Jim Crow 2.0." This is not just a historical insult; it is a desperate distraction. The same leaders who demand federal crackdowns on fake vaccine cards—who want the government to verify your medical status to enter a restaurant—suddenly find the idea of verifying citizenship for the ballot box to be "oppressive." Spare me your fake and selective outrage!
The irony is thick. We require an ID to drive a car, to open a bank account, and to board an airplane. Even President Obama, when he went to cast his own ballot, pulled out his ID without complaint. If 95% of Republicans and over 70% of Democrats agree that we need secure borders and secure ballots, then who are these leaders actually representing?
What the SAVE Act Really Does
The SAVE Act isn’t a conspiracy; it’s common sense. If you go to congress.gov and read it for yourself, you’ll see four simple pillars:
Proof of Citizenship: It requires documentary proof—a passport or birth certificate—to register for federal elections.
No Documents, No Registration: It closes the loophole for those who cannot prove their eligibility.
Clean Voter Rolls: It mandates that states remove non-citizens and the deceased from their systems.
Real Accountability: It holds election officials accountable with criminal penalties for those who knowingly subvert the law.
Ending the Cycle of "Stolen" Elections
For decades, our nation has been plagued by a crisis of confidence. We see it on the news every night—pundits arguing over whether 2000, 2004, 2016, or 2020 was "stolen" or "illegitimate." According to recent polling, 72% of Democrats still believe Russian interference changed the outcome of the 2016 election.
If both sides are consistently worried about the integrity of our outcomes, why wouldn't we want to take the doubt out of the game? Passing the SAVE Act does exactly that. It removes the "spin zone" and replaces it with a standard that virtually every other developed nation in the world already uses: Voter ID.
Conclusion: Truth Over Tradition
We are living in a unique moment in our history. The idea of a secure border and the promise of a secure vote is being met with fearful rhetoric by those who oppose it. Why? We are told that ICE agents shouldn't be near polls and that federal oversight is a burden—yet these same critics (leftist Democrats) demand federal control over every other aspect of our lives. So ask yourself... why would anyone who is honest and truthful oppose voter ID? The ONLY people who would oppose voter ID are those who plan to cheat. This should finally be the one idea that EVERY American citizen would support and endorse. Yet, the Democrats in congress (and some sheep-like rank and file democrats) are striving to Demonize, and block it. Why? I believe it is because they know it takes the opportunity to cheat in elections away from them. Simple as that.
It is time to get off the political hamster wheel. We don't live in fantasy land where we ignore what is happening at our borders and in our registration offices. We need a system where every legal citizen has full assurance that their voice is heard—and that it isn't being drowned out by those who haven't earned the right to speak in our elections.
Let’s stop the abuse of our rights. Let’s protect the ballot. Let’s pass the SAVE Act and ensure this Republic remains for the people, by the people, and—most importantly—by our legal citizens.
Also here is a probing question: If Voter ID is voter suppression, is a driver's license driver suppression?
Chuck Shroomer reacts to the save act. He needs to be able to cheat. So they are panicking.
