So it's the day after the mid-term elections and the Democrats have staged a major rebuke of Trump-mania. The three most cited anti-Trump positions mentioned are: Iran War, Gas Prices, and I.C.E. hatred. These three things cut straight to the heart of Trump's agenda. He ran as anti-war. Yet he attacked Iran (bad move). He used to brag about $2 a gallon gas. But that was before the Iran attack. Now gas is $4 (bad move). He ran on deporting illegal aliens. Yet the media managed to paint ICE as attacking (and even killing) law-abiding people. These three things DECIMATED Trump's mandate. Personally, I don't think he will ever recover. I really don't see how he can. The democrat mandate that has been handed down basically outlasts the remainder of his term. So he's basically dead in the water now.
Add to that his stupid vanity projects. Which even I hate (and I'm a Trump man through and through). The arch. The Ballroom. Re-naming stuff. What is the effing point??
Trump lost his way. He strayed off track. He goofed up. He overplayed his hand. He crushed his own mandate. The American people trusted him and he appeared to have violated that trust. By going against the very things he ran on. Exit polls show that the Iran war, and gas prices, were the top issues at the voting booth. So he fouled it up!!!
Yes he has done many great things. But you can't undermine your core agenda and expect to win. That is madness!
Sitting here today, I don't know what to do or think. I only hope he moderates his tone, stops acting like a jerk, and gets back to doing what he promised.
He shouldn't have attacked Iran.
