NO KINGS PROTEST RECAP, YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP
So yesterday (March 28, 2026) millions of Americans took to the streets to protest a man they call a "king", but who is actually a president who was elected by 77 million voters. He will be out in 2.5 years, and is currently being challenged in court by judges who keep blocking his policies.
That's a pretty weak king if you think about it.
Meanwhile in London, a city that has an ACTUAL king, people held a solidarity rally in support of the "No Kings" protest. Haha!
Let that sink in.
A country with a literal King, a literal throne, and a literal royal family protested alongside Americans who are mad about a guy that will be out of office in 2028. You cannot write better comedy than this reality.
Here's what else happened.
In Portland, they marched peacefully through downtown chanting about freedom. Then a group broke off and attacked an ICE facility, threw objects at federal agents, and got arrested.
The sign that read "So bad, even introverts are here" was right next to three people in inflatable frog costumes.
I have no further comment on that.
In Los Angeles, the "largest nonviolent protest in modern history" turned into a riot by sundown. That's right. A RIOT.
A thousand people surrounded a federal building, threw concrete blocks and bottles at police, and got tear gassed.
Two officers were hospitalized. They arrested a person dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
The irony of that photo alone should win an award.
They also floated a giant Trump baby blimp through downtown, because nothing says "serious political movement" like a parade float from Party City.
In New York, Robert De Niro showed up to tell working-class Americans about their struggles.
That's the guy worth $500 million telling you the system is broken. Really feeling that connection Bob, and the flagship rally was in Minnesota where Tim Walz spoke. This is the same governor whose state had the original George Floyd riots that caused $500 million in damage.
If your keynote speaker's biggest accomplishment is standing by while a city burned, maybe rethink the lineup.
Here's what gets me though.
These protests were organized by a group that says Trump's actions are "more akin to a monarch than a democratically elected leader."
Here's what happened yesterday in America.
Millions of people publicly called the president a tyrant, a king, and a fascist.
On social media.
In the streets.
On live television.
Without a single person being executed, imprisoned, or disappeared for it. Or even arrested.
You know who DOES imprison people for protesting?
Iran, the Islamist regime that killed over 20,000 of its own citizens for marching in the streets.
China, where protesting gets you vanished.
Cuba, where dissidents rot in prison for holding a sign.
If you can march through an American city with a giant baby balloon of the sitting president and the worst thing that happens to you is traffic, you do not live under a king.
You live in the freest country on the face of the earth and you're too spoiled to realize it.
The right to express your opinion about the government is one of the most American things there is.
I'll never argue against it, but protesting a "king" in a country where you can freely protest is the most unintentionally hilarious self-own in political history.
No kings? Correct.
We've never had one.
That's the whole point.
